Oldage: Elderly Women’s Meet...

Said the little boy, "Sometimes I drop my spoon."
Said the old man, "I do that too."
The little boy whispered, "I wet my pants."
I do that too," laughed the little old man.
Said the little boy, "I often cry."
The old man nodded, "So do I."
But worst of all," said the boy, "it seems
Grown-ups don't pay attention to me."
And he felt the warmth of a wrinkled old hand.
I know what you mean," said the little old man.”

Rehab India Foundation organised Elderly Women’s Monthly Meeting on November 10, 2013 at Rehab Model Village, Assam.

Managed by Central Zone Project Manager, Thirty two old women attended the programme. The aim of the meeting is to generate awareness of Government Pension Plans by conducting a face to face meeting with Mrs. Gosh, Pension Officer in Manikpur Block.

Another one of the important aspects of the meeting is to interact with elderly people and found-out the solution of their problems. Every month, Rehab organises elderly meetings to sensitise community people to understand emotions and feelings of their parents, grandpas and other elderly people and give them respect and love in return.
